SMC Phoenix is a community of social media junkies comprised of professionals, enthusiasts and novice users who converge to discuss a variety of topics and philosophies focused on harnessing the power of social media. As a unified team, we explore social learning techniques, best practices, new tools, resources and ideas that empower Phoenix members to lead the “Social Revolution.”
The Phoenix Chapter of the Social Media Club was launched in response to a growing need in our community for a place to meet and discuss the emergence of social media—beyond the business world. Our members believe in examining social media, learning how we interact with different platforms and how it affects our professional and personal lives.
Our group believes in social media’s power of conversation—connecting people and businesses across the globe through one common digital language. We subscribe to a philosophy founded on the principles of learning, sharing and exploring, where members are engaged off-and-online with one another.
Working as one community, we help each another navigate through the ever-changing social universe. Our members share their experiences in the trenches, so that everyone can grow their knowledge base and achieve their goals. As platforms from Facebook to Tumblr to other social circles evolve, so does our team—because we live and breathe social media.
PHOENIX CHAPTER MEETINGS:
Meetings are the second Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. Social Media Club of Phoenix’s steering committee presents a variety of topics for discussion, presentations and workshops. We are an open group, welcoming social media professionals and personal enthusiasts at any level. Our organization does not promote or endorse any products or services, making outside presentations restricted to those educating our group and are by invite-only.
