Upcoming Phoenix Area Events

2010 March 12

Big thanks to everyone that came out last night for Measuring SM Effectiveness. I had a few requests for a post on the events that were mentioned, here are the details for each.

 Phoenix Twestival 2010

March 25th – Martini Ranch in Scottsdale

A Twestival or Twitter-Festival is a global series of events organized by volunteers around the world under short timescales, which bring people offline for a great cause. The proceeds from Twestival will be supporting Concern Worldwide. Concern has been bringing education to the world’s poorest children through innovative programs and solutions for over 40 years.

Phoenix Twestival is currently running an early registration bonus where raffle tickets are doubled if you buy tickets by Sunday, March 14th (by 11:59 pm).

Ignite Phoenix #6

March 30th – Mesa Arts Center in Mesa

Ignite Phoenix is an information exchange for fostering and inspiring Phoenix’s creative community. In one evening, you hear 18 passionate speakers from our creative, technical, and business communities talking about their current projects or favorite ideas for just five minutes. Presentations will educate and inspire you, and maybe make you laugh in the process.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday!

Laid Off Camp

April 3rd – Chandler Senior Center

Laid Off Camp Phoenix is an extension of a national effort to help people find work — full-time work, freelance work, volunteer work, or whatever’s next for them.  Like other Laid Off Camp events, is a locally-based, community-supported effort to offer resources and reassurance to job seekers.

 RE Bar Camp

April 9th – Scottsdale Stadium

If you are a realtor, lender, title, escrow, appraiser, inspector, virtual assistant, home stagers and anyone else in the real estate world (or any other world — PR, Marketing, etc) who wants to improve their social media game. This is the unconference for you.
