@Phoenix - No sin here. Tons about Social Media is over-hyped, and the idea that everyone must use it - or use it in the same way - is ridiculous. But to answer your question, you could use Social Media to help connect with our pretty strong local development community, and showcase your talent. SM really help breaks down geographic limits to connect with people. Would these discussions (they not really classes) be of help? Not sure. I'd see if a topic interests you and give one a try. This one is a Facebook dive and probably more marketing oriented, but drop in anytime.

@ScribeDevil - Thanks for the note - we'll add that to the question list!

Looking forward to the event!

I'm curious what the panel suggests page admins do to keep fans engaged with the brand. You can pretty much buy fans with Facebook ads. So how do you extract value from Facebook users after they've converted into fans?

Thanks!

I know I am committing the greatest of sins by asking but do you ever feel social media is over-hyped. Is there anything a seasoned phoenix based developer and programmer can learn from these classes? I guess I feel as a software engineer that there are upstart social media groups arriving. What can I learn?
